Who we are

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a type of mind-body intervention in which hypnosis is used to create a state of focused attention and increased suggestibility in the treatment of a medical or psychological disorder or concern.

Hypnotic trance has been used since the ancient times of pharaohs. It has been practised by shamans, magicians, ancient sages, healers, also famous individuals such as Jesus Christ, Grigori Rasputin, and Edgar Cayce. The historic use of hypnotic trance might have made it seem somewhat mysterious and as an unusual phenomenon, when in fact, it is quite to the contrary. The trick, however, is to be able to access that potential by remembering that it is within us, to learn how our mind works and awaken this deeper power that lies within. Huge thanks to endless number of professors, doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, scientists and thousands of researchers, this ancient knowledge and its use are coming back to our life.

Every one of us falls into a trance a few times a day every day. It is those moments when we are deep in thought or are focused on something. We lose track of what is going around us, we do not really see nor hear. If you take the same route to work every day, you do not pay attention to the scenery around you or the people that are passing by. You know the route so well that it does not require conscious attention anymore. Very often, you do not remember even how you got to the job, because you were in trance, somewhere deep into yourself. You can call it “hypnotic trance”, if you wish.

Fascinating thing is that we can fall into trance whenever we want to. Furthermore, we become very open to suggestions and imagination at these moments. With proper guidance, those suggestions can move your mind’s power of imagination in the direction desired – and the results may be incredible!

However, it should be noted that hypnotherapy is not something that is done for you, rather it is something that you do for yourself by yourself. A hypnotherapist acts as a guide, who helps you to concentrate and focus your mind. Therefore, results depend on collaboration, trust and willingness to take responsibility.

Hypnotherapy branches out into various subclasses such as Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, Regression Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Hypnotherapy, Ego State Hypnotherapy, just to name a few. There are also hundreds of techniques that can be utilised for achieving results. Which one/s are the best for you depends on the type of personality, the problem/s and the outcome/s desired.

We will discuss all these questions in depth during the first session. Then, we will make an individual treatment plan, that suits you best, and let’s see the results!

(Hypnotherapy is not a cure or replacement for medical intervention however, and outcomes do vary. Medical advice should be sought).

Holistic therapy

There is only one therapy method offered for people by Health Insurance. It is so-called Contemporary medicine, which is mainly based on the use of medications. However, when this type of treatment fails or does not meet expectations, people tend to look for other, alternative therapy methods. These include but are not limited to Acupuncture, Ayurvedic Medicine, Environmental Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Nutritional Therapy, Qigong and Tai Chi, and many more. Quite commonly these types of therapies are called under the umbrella term ‘’Holistic Therapy’’, that is not quite right from my point of view.

The term “holistic' originates from the roots of the Greek word 'holos', which translates to 'whole'. In terms of human beings, it means “body-mind-spirit”. If any one of these constituents fails, then the whole system, i.e. human being, fails to function.

This might explain, why some therapies help some people but not others. One therapy never fits all. For example, nutritionists talk about proper diets, psychologists about our minds and Humanistic - Existential theorists about the purpose of living and self-realisation. Every one of them has a piece of the puzzle and tries to explain how the whole picture should look like.

Human health has been a huge area of my interest for more than 40 years. Over that time, I have studied and gained various qualifications relating to this field. To name a few, I have studied medicine at Medical Nursing School, Environmental Science, Hypnotherapy, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Chemistry, Nutrition and Ayurveda. Furthermore, I have undertaken courses on Acupuncture and Epigenetics, not to mention hundreds of books, such as Avicenna’s Medicine and Psychology, that I have read on various topics concerning human health.

I would like to connect all of my knowledge and share it with you so that I could help you as much as I can and as much as I am allowed.

If you consider trying a different approach to find a solution to your problem, feel free to contact me and make an appointment so that we could discuss it in more detail and depth.
